چکیده

Abstract Purpose Blue light has been reported to enhance the differentiation and mineralisation potential of mesenchymal stem cells. No studies have investigated photobiomodulation effects blue on odontogenic dental pulp cell-containing populations. This study aimed determine effect 405-nm wavelength response in these Methods Human cells were irradiated using a calibrated 405 nm source at an irradiance 57.7 mW/cm 2 for 35, 69, 90 104 s; delivering energy densities 2, 4, 5 6 J/cm . Cell proliferation was days 4. Alkaline phosphatase activity dentine matrix protein-1 levels 3 5. Mineralised nodule formation 7, 4 21. Results The had significant inhibitory cell proliferation. Simultaneously, irradiation enhanced response, as determined by upregulation markers. Irradiated cultures also demonstrated increase mineralised compared with non-irradiated controls all time points. Conclusion Data indicate that phototherapy utilising may therapeutic stimulating responses

Stem Cells of the Dental Pulp

Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) can be found within the cell rich zone of dental pulp. These stem cells, under specific stimuli, differentiate into many cell types which have wide therapeutic applications.   The dental stem cells are derived from both deciduous and permanent teeth. The viable dental stem cells are very simple to collect, without any mortality and morbidity. Dental pulp stem c...

Transdifferentiation of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells Into Oligoprogenitor Cells

Introduction: The nerve fibers in central nervous system are surrounded by myelin sheet  which is formed by oligodendrocytes. Cell therapy based on oligodendrocytes and their precursors transplantation can hold a promising alternative treatment for myelin sheet repair in demyelinating diseases. Methods: Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (hDPSCs) are noninvasive, autologous and easy available s...

Different isolation methods of dental pulp stem cells

Considering the ease of isolation and high expansion potential of pulp stem/progenitor cells isolated from wisdom and primary teeth they have been implicated as the most reliable autologous cell source in dental tissue engineering. Meanwhile, different isolation methods have remarkable impacts on the expansion potential of adult stem cells. In enzymatic digestion method extracted teeth as denta...
